Pire Sova (b. 1988) graduated from the Estonian Academy of Arts (EKA) with BA in Performance Art and MA in Photography and continued her education in the Royal Academy of Art (KABK) in the Netherlands. In addition to participating in exhibitions, she has curated and organized various event series and festivals. She has worked as the public program manager for the Cafe of the Museum of Contemporary Art of Estonia (EKKM Kohvik) and is currently working as a gallerist in the EKA Gallery.
In her work, Sova is interested in gender and social identity, community and collectivity.She is one of the leaders of the event series Persona, which combines collective and performative events with personal stuudio practices, encompassing sewing, crafts and installation.
